Anyone looking to take care of their bodies and live their best life should definitely check out Functional Fitness. Carry Thibaut is the owner, coach and trainer of FUNctional Fitness located in the Frontier Village Shopping Center at 1680 W. Williams Avenue.

Carry was born and raised in Fallon, Nevada where she met and married another native Fallonite. After settling in the same area where they both grew up, she followed her love for fitness and has been strongly involved for the last fifteen years.

Four years ago when the fitness facility she worked at was going out of business, the thought of opening her own studio became a priority. After a lot of talking and support from family Functional Fitness was born! She now offers fitness classes and spin six days a week.

Each workout is different, using a variety of equipment and functional body moves. Each class is designed for all fitness levels which is done using modifications focusing on each individuals needs. Form is another priority at Functional Fitness and staying with the body’s natural alignment. There are a variety of classes offered.

Spinning and Spin Gym

Pedal through hill climbs, sprints, and many other challenging drills and exercises. Ride to choreographed music that provides an excellent cardiovascular conditioning workout. In Spin Gym you are on and off the bike using light weights, bands and balls working the entire body.

SPAR

Learn the technical and fundamental aspects of boxing. Learn proper form for punches and more while ramping up your fitness level to increase cardiovascular endurance, muscular strength, core integration and flexibility.  No experience necessary for this intense core and full body workout!

SCULPT

A class dedicated to strengthening and toning all your muscles using your own body weight with a variety of weight training equipment, including stability & medicine balls, dumbbells, steps, kettle bells, bands and much more! Carry makes sure to target every major muscle group, along with abdominal work that focuses on strengthening muscles of the abs, lower back, and torso.

TRX

Suspension Training body weight exercise develops strength, balance, flexibility and core stability simultaneously. It requires the use of the TRX Suspension Trainer, a highly portable performance-training tool that leverages gravity and the user's body weight. This class is designed to give you the biggest bang for your buck!

Signing up for a class can be done by email or text and all class are by sign-up except SCULPT where everyone is welcome. Punch cards are purchased when you come to your first class (only cash or check) and at that time, a liability waiver will be signed. Carry asks everyone to bring water, but she will supply all the necessary equipment and towels. Her goal for members is for them to incorporate and maintain a healthy life style of activity and nutrition in their everyday lives.
